The Short Version

Trove is an interactive platform that helps you understand your behavioral patterns through immersive scenarios and gameplay. Here's what you're agreeing to:

What Trove is (and isn't). It's a tool for self-understanding, not therapy or a clinical assessment. The insights you get are generated by AI based on your choices in fictional scenarios. They're meant to spark reflection — not replace a professional.

Your data: Your data is yours. We process it to make the experience work (including sending your scenario choices to AI providers so we can generate your story). Our Privacy Policy has the full breakdown.

Age requirement: You must be 16 or older to use Trove.

Be respectful: Don't try to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or misuse the platform. Don't do anything weird. We put a lot of care into this!

Full Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Trove (operated by Orange Zest Inc., "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Trove is an interactive platform that uses AI-generated scenarios to help users explore and understand their behavioral patterns. The service includes playing through interactive scenarios ("Tangles"), receiving AI-generated behavioral insights and results, and building a profile of behavioral patterns over time.

Important: Trove is for personal development and self-understanding purposes. Trove is not a medical service, therapeutic tool, or clinical psychological assessment. Trove results should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Trove. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If we learn that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to notify us if you become aware of unauthorized use.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms the service or other users.

5. How Trove Uses AI

Trove uses AI services from Anthropic and OpenAI to generate scenarios, adapt stories to your choices, and produce behavioral insights. By using Trove, you understand and agree that:

  • Your scenario choices and display name are processed by third-party AI providers to deliver the experience
  • AI-generated content (scenarios, insights, results) is produced by language models and may not always be perfectly accurate
  • Your behavioral results are generated interpretations, not clinical or scientific diagnoses
  • Each scenario is processed independently — your choices in one scenario are not shared with AI providers when you play a different scenario

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of the personal information you provide to Trove. We use your data only as described in our Privacy Policy.

By using Trove, you grant us a limited license to process your data as necessary to operate the service — including sending scenario choices to AI providers for content generation and insight synthesis.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials that make up Trove (excluding your personal data) are owned by Orange Zest Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the service.

Your behavioral results and profile belong to you. You may share your results as you choose.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Trove for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI prompts, scenario logic, or underlying algorithms
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service
  • Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit Trove content or results without permission

9. Results and Insights Disclaimer

Trove's behavioral insights are generated by AI based on your choices within fictional scenarios. They are meant to encourage self-reflection and are not:

  • Clinical psychological assessments
  • Medical or therapeutic advice
  • Guaranteed to be accurate or complete
  • A substitute for professional guidance

Use your results as a starting point for self-understanding, not as definitive conclusions about your personality or behavior.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orange Zest Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Trove, including but not limited to damages related to reliance on AI-generated insights.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Orange Zest Inc., its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Trove (or any part of it) at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Trove will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Ontario, except for disputes related to intellectual property, which may be brought in court.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Orange Zest Inc. regarding Trove.
